Benefits of our add-ons

Ballaura recently added some add-ons to our available services, including hot stones, shea butter back scrub, or seaweed foot wrap detox. Not only are these services very luxurious, but they provide great physical and medical benefits when combined with massage. We would like to highlight and recognize what great healing powers these add-ons provide.
Hot Stones: Our heated basalt stone add-on is a great way to help increase circulation throughout the body, as well as promoting relaxation and the release of toxins. Additionally, these heated stones have been known to help ease pain associated with arthritis.
Shea Butter Sugar Scrub: Shea butter is a natural product made from the extracted fats of crushed seed of the African shea tree. It is widely used for cosmetic products, namely as a moisturizer. While shea butter has strong moisturizing properties, it also helps to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy, and reduce acne and skin rashes, while gently exfoliating.
Seaweed Wrap: Our Seaweed Foot Wrap Detox is one of our most popular add-ons, and for good reason. Because of the steps of exfoliation, the feet are left soft and smooth. The healing powers don’t stop there. Once the seaweed clay is painted on, the feet are induced into sweating to enhance the detoxifying powers of the seaweed clay to extract the maximum amount of impurities from the body.

Meet Our Newest Therapist Amy!

I am a graduate of Ashmead College Seattle 2002; here I gained a strong foundation in anatomy & physiology, kinesiology, massage theory & practice. I am trained in Swedish, deep tissue, injury treatment, hot stone, and sports massage. Additionally, I am trained in pre and post natal pregnancy & infant massage, and also infant massage instruction for new parents or caregivers.
My specialty is a customized treatment tailored to fit your needs. I believe those needs may be different for each person’s body and may change from day to day. I utilize many tools during your session to help you meet your therapy goals; myofascial release, deep tissue, trigger point, Passive Positional Release , Pin & Stretch, reflexology, and Thai foot massage, just to name a few!

Seaweed foot detox
This is the perfect addition to any massage. Indulge yourself in this rich wrap for the feet that will refresh your body through and through. First, a dry brush scrub is used to slough off dead skin cells, softening your feet. This exfoliation is followed by an application of our seaweed detox, ideal for extracting toxins from your body, and moisturizing your tired feet.
Shea Butter back scrub
Now you can finally get those hard to reach places on your back with our Shea Butter Sugar back scrub. Warmed shea butter and sugar will be melted and massaged into your body, giving you a sensation of warmth and moisture, and leaving your back renewed and refreshed.
Hot Stone
Incorporate heated stones into your massage for deep relaxation and ultimate bliss. Warmed to the perfect temperature, these hot stones penetrate deep into your muscles, loosening and relaxing as they go.

For a limited time only, owner & operator Nicole Ball will be extending her appointments through Saturdays. Through March, Nicole is offering appointments from 1:30 – 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20. These slots are sure to fill up, so reserve your place as soon as possible.

Ballaura has a new addition to our team- Please welcome Rebecca Rodriguez, LMP. Rebecca has a unique massage background that is sure to blend very well with Ballaura. Rebecca has studied in Hawaii to learn the specialized massage, Lomi Lomi, and additionally performs Swedish and deep tissue massages. She will be accepting new clients as of November 3, so start scheduling now!

Thai Reflexology Foot Massage

Our Legs and feet are often the last things on our minds. We ignore them until they begin to ache.
Wouldn’t it be nice to pamper them?
Thai Foot Massage is both a relaxing and invigorating treatment for the feet and lower legs. The style is a combination of Thai accu-pressure points with sen energy line work and chinese reflexology.
This massage includes a cleansing foot scrub, gentle stretching, circular massage movements, thumb pressure, and sometimes, the use of a teak Thai stick to stimulate organ reflexology points. The overall session leaves the client relaxed, yet rejuvenated.
