Laura embarked on her journey in massage therapy at the Crestone Healing Arts Center program in Crestone, CO back in 2016. This comprehensive program provided her with a strong foundation in various modalities including qi gong, tai chi, and kundalini yoga. Her passion for learning led her to further her expertise by pursuing Thai massage training in California in 2018. What sets Laura apart is her unique ability to blend the wisdom of Eastern philosophies on healing and qi-based energy work with the precision of Western scientific knowledge and techniques. Having recently relocated to Olympia, Laura is thrilled to join the Ballaura team. Her integration of Eastern and Western approaches makes her a valuable asset to the team's holistic approach to wellness.

Favorite Ballaura Ritual

I like to prepare with contemplation and meditation. Sometimes I start with a tranquil walk through the woods accompanied by my dog, Arrow; or I read or build with Lego blocks, so I can center my energy and focus on facilitating healing from within. Post-session, I prioritize hydration. Sometimes I take a brief stroll to integrate the changes in my body, and occasionally end the day with an epsom salt bath or yoga session.

Laura is a good fit if you...

If you're seeking a practitioner who provides an integrated and specialized approach that addresses physical mechanics and energetic flow (qi). She is well-versed in work involving the shoulders, neck and jaw.
